The building now housing the CORINNE HOTEL was constructed by the Architect Kemaleddin Bey, one of the most distinguished architects in the history of the Ottoman and Republican era His name is still honored in our country. Numerous streets still bear his name, (his statue stands in İzmir and his memory lives on in his picture decorating the 20 lira banknote). The CORINNE HOTEL has transferred the mysteries of the past to the present and staying loyal to the original structure of the building it was restored with respect for nature using ecofriendly technology. The Museum of Innocence

The Museum of Innocence is both the title of a novel by Orhan Pamuk and the name of a museum he has established. From the very beginnings of the project, since the 1990s, Pamuk has conceived of novel and museum together. The novel, which is about love, is set between 1974 and the early 2000s, and describes life in Istanbul between 1950 and 2000 through memories and flashbacks centered around two families – one wealthy, the other lower middle class. The museum presents what the novel’s characters used, wore, heard, saw, collected and dreamed of, all meticulously arranged in boxes and display cabinets. The novel was published in 2008; the museum opened in spring 2012.

Galata Tower

The Galata Tower called Christea Turris by the Genoese, is a medieval stone tower in the Galata/Karaköy quarter of Istanbul, just to the north of the Golden Horn. One of the city’s most striking landmarks, it is a high, cone-capped cylinder that dominates the skyline and offers a panoramic vista of Old Istanbul or Constantinople and its environs.The nine-story tower is 66.90 meters tall and was the city’s tallest structure when it was built in 1349.

There is a restaurant and café on its upper floors which command a magnificent view of Halic, Istanbul and the Bosphorus.
